You can stop worrying for now because you should start receiving your mail today, yes the postal deliveries are back to normal this morning after their 48 hour strike but the question is “How long will posties be back for? Further disruption is threatened over rows over pensions, pay and jobs.
The workers at the post office have warned that there could possibly be more strikes or walkouts as many like to call it as early as Monday, this will happen if the dispute it not resolved.
The post Office services have been in a mess over the last week but now things can get back to normal seeing as the 130,000 members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) are returning back to work today.
There were accusations of “slavery” mentioned and Adam Crozier the Royal Mail chief said that the Royal Mail was only trying to make people work the hours for which they are paid for, Crozier also accused the CWU of talking of talking cobblers.

It is an unskilled role - I say sack them all and employ people who would be grateful for the job. The level of service has declined over recent years and the cost gone up. No doubt this will mean more price rises to us unfortunate users of this service…
People who don’t have a clue what it is like to work as a postman say things like ’sack em all’. If people think it is that easy, then go and do the job yourself and see what it is like.
I say, hold your head up high posties and shame to you who don’t support them.
