The parents of missing child Madeleine McCann, Gerry and Kate have both thanked Hollywood Star Ben Affleck for being so sensitive by postponing his latest film Gone Baby Gone, which is very similar to the disappearance of the McCann’s daughter. The movie is directed by Ben and it also stars his brother Casey.
While at the US premiere Affleck said that it just came down to the fact that there is a family there, and there is a country that has been exposed to the story and seems to have become to a certain degree emotionally sensitive to it.” Ben then added “Disney thought they would err on the side of good taste and postpone it until it calmed down a bit.”
Family spokesman for the McCann’s Clarence Mitchell also praised the actor for being understanding, he said that his actions are very thoughtful.
It is not known when the Gone Baby Gone will be released in the UK, we will just have to wait and see.
