The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft has now been delayed by at least six months, Boeing have said that they are struggling to assemble this plane by the proposed launch date. The 787 Dreamliner has the latest advancements and will be more fuel efficient thanks to its lightweight, carbon-composite design.
Boeing will be very embarrassed by the news that the 787 Dreamliner will be delayed, as for months the company have insisted that that they would be able to meet their delivery timetable, even though at the time they were facing production problems.
Boeing has at least 700 orders for the new 787 planes which are worth more than $100 billion to the company. So instead of May 2008 deliveries, we should now expect to see the delivery of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner by late November 2008.
