Around the world wind farms are becoming more popular for producing power to homes.
Now Australia is to build a giant wind farm consisting of around 500 wind turbines producing a capacity of up to 1,000 megawatts powering up to 400,000 homes

It is estimated that the construction of the wind farm will cost around AU$2bn and will take between three to four years to complete the project starting in 2009.
