Now if you want the low down on the weather then the Oregon Scientific Weather In Motion clock is the answer, this is a brand new gadget that touts proximity-sensing which sounds all technical but to break it down it is pretty straight forward and basically means it has an infrared motion sensor that will change the display based on how close or far away you are.
The style of this Oregon Scientific Weather in Motion clock is pretty damn sexy as well in its sexy black frame, what we really like is that when you are at a distance you will get to see the current time, day and weather forecast which is displayed in very large digits and icons.
Some of the features included are infrared motion sensor for display change (sensor detection range: 0.5 to 2 inches), displays outdoor and indoor temperature up to 3 channels, Near mode which will display time, outdoor and indoor temperature and weather forecast, Far mode which displays time, weather forecast and day of the week.
Other features include –
• Weekday selectable in 5 languages: English, French, Danish, Italian and Spanish
• User selectable 12-24 hour format clock with crescendo alarm with 8-minute snooze function
• Displays weather forecasts with graphical icons: Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy and Rainy
• Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature display
• Automatically sets itself to the U.S. Atomic Clock and adjusts for Daylight Saving Time
• Displays indoor and outdoor temperature (up to 3 channels)
• Time zone settings: Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern
