October 9, 2007 | Filed under News

A mystery Miss England impostor has posted false details about Miss England on a social networking site which she claims makes her sound “thick” and “tarty”. Georgia Horsley, from Malton, North Yorkshire has said she wants MySpace to take down the bogus profile.
She has said, “It is scary to think someone has stolen my ID.”
It has been reported that MySpace are aware of the false profile but no one from the site was available for comment. Miss Horsley came across the impostor after a search of her name on Google revealed a link to ‘her’ MySpace account.
The profile was adorned with photo’s of the part-time model but the content that was on it did not match at all.
Georgina continues,
“I went on to the site and thought ‘this isn’t my MySpace account’,” she said. “For a start, the background music was 50 Cent, whereas mine would be a lot more girly. It says that my mood is ‘horny’ and that my general interest is drinking. I do have the occasional drink, but it isn’t my general interest.”
The bogus entry claims glamour model Katie Price (Jordan) is Miss England’s hero, having talked the young model into continuing with her career.
The Miss England model has said she has never met Katie Price, let alone spoken to her.
What did Miss England think of the impostors profile? Well,
“It is really freaky. It is scary to think that someone has stolen my ID. They have made me come across a bit thick and a bit of a tart,”
Do you think social networking sites like MySpace should do more to make sure identities don’t get taken?
