Madeleine McCann parents Gerry and Kate McCann deny DNA link and declare innocence

Both Gerry and Kate McCann declared their innocence yesterday after claims were made that new DNA evidence was found that could link them to the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine. The grieving parents have also said that the Portugal Police gave up searching for Madeleine three months ago and have spent that time trying to link them to the disappearance instead.

Gerry and Kate also say that the Portuguese Police should stop doing internal investigations in to their own police department and spend those recourses trying to find their missing daughter Madeleine. Gerry and Kate has expressed that they hope that the next officer in charge of the investigation brings a new bit of life in to the hunt for their missing daughter.
