Johnny Depp: Better In Pirates of The Caribbean or Edward Scissorhands?
Johnny Depp is an established actor with millions of fans around the world. It seems everything he touches turns into movie gold and two examples of that would be Pirates of the Caribbean and Edward Scissorhands.
Johnny’s versatility has meant he can go from the extremely gothic Edward Scissorhands to the hilarious cockney Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates.
What I want to know is whether you think Johnny Depp was better in Edward Scissorhands or Pirates of the Caribbean?
For me, it’s Edward Scissorhands, he was amazing in that movie and I personally think the movie is better than Pirates of the Caribbean.

Johnny Depp is bettr in Pirates of the Caribbean as he shows off his acting skills more than in Edward Scissorhands.
I being a huge Johnny Depp fan way back from his time is 21 jumpstreet and continue on I personally like him better in Pirates than Edward. I think in edward he is truely gifted but more emotional than in personality. When he is Jack, he truely created this charactor on his own. The original Pirates theme (like in the ride) there was no Jack
Sparrow. He made this his own and being the gifted actor he is, he made everyone believe he was and is Jack Sparrow.
I think he was better in Edward Scissorhands too. Although he hardly said anything you could tell how the character was feeling and what he was thinking just from the facial expressions. Not many actors would be able to pull that off.
Jack Sparrow
definitley edward scisorhands! he was so cute then, and he did such a good job in that movie. it takes more talent to play edward than capt jack. don’t get me wrong, i love capt jack.
i like all of johnny’s movies, i adore them and i agree with you when you say that edward scissorhands and potc have been very interesting movies, where he has given his best performance. however, i would choose potc over edward, because i think johnny is a more matured actor at potc and he has also made the character part of him, and he is known worldwide as johnny depp-jack sparrow. now, there MUST be a reason for that, right?
Edward is by far the best. I love Jack too. In Edward it is because he did not have to say a word that it shows his pure acting skills. And Johnny is pure in heart as well so the role suited him very much. Why haven’t they made an Edward costume for Halloween yet? All these years and no Edward anywhere? Come on folks.

It’s hard to choose because they’re such different roles. Captain Jack is such a physical role, and he talked almost nonstop, while Edward required much more use of facial expressions. I guess I’d have to say Edward, though!
Jack Sparrow, by far
I met Johnny when he was underaged and he is both. He is aggressive like Jack and Pure like Edward. He is irristable either way. I fell in love with his EDWARD. That brought me to think about him first. The when Jack hit the scene, it was all over. But my first love was Edward. 2nd Jack. However I put Jack up everywhere and got a tattoo of a skull because of Jack. But Edward was my first.

First of all..I think he was great in both! Edward Scizzorhands is sooo cute and Jack is sooo sexy! He’s such an awesome actor;so versatile! I think he was better as Jack Sparrow though,if I had to choose,after all..that, I think, is the movie that put him at the top and gave him his claim to fame.
Well, i think that it would be both. C’mon people…is Johnny Depp world’s hottest guy alive. But still i would say Edward because he was really sweet in that movie and he was (and still is) cute and hot. The difference is that Edward is so cute and Jack is so hot and sexy.
i liked edward scisscorhands story better so i liked that movie way more but I think he was better in Pirates of the Caribbean
