How will you celebrate Columbus Day
The first celebration of Columbus Day was held way back in 1792, this was when the people of New York celebrates their 300th anniversary of the day that Christopher Columbus landing on the New World. Well over the years there have been many celebrations, but how will you celebrate Columbus Day this year.

It was another hundred years before President Benjamin Harrison asked the rest of the United States to celebrate this day, which they did in 1892 on the 400th anniversary. Way back in 1492 on the 12th October Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas, and who would have thought that 115 years later that country would become the super power that it is today.

On Columbus Day people seem to put aside all their differences and political views so that they can all enjoy this holiday together.
