Analyst Jesse Divnich predicts that the rumored cheaper $399 40GB Sony PS3 will not have any impact on the sales on games console rival Microsoft Xbox 360. The reason for this is the new bundles that the Xbox has and also the recent release of the ever popular Halo 3.
However Divnich does believe that there will be a slight dip in the sales of the Xbox 360 only until these new bundles are available, but nothing that will hurt Microsoft in any way. Jesse has also added that as there is so much buzz at the moment with the Microsoft Xbox 360, no matter how cheap the Playstation 3 gets the Xbox 360 will be able to deflect it.
But for now we will just have to wait and see what the true impact is once the 40GB Sony PS3 model is released.
