Sarah Silverman Regrets Making Jokes About Britney Spears

Sarah Silverman has admitted that she regrets making jokes about Britney Spears at the MTV Video Music Awards last month because the singer was not ready to laugh at herself.

Sarah came on stage following Britney’s disastrous performance of her new single ‘Gimme More’ and joked about her two sons being “adorable mistakes”.

Sarah’s jokes received a bad reaction from the troubled singer and her fans.

She now claims she wishes she hadn’t appeared at the show saying that “I wish I didn’t do the VMAs. I totally regret it. I liked the jokes I did, but all anyone focused on was that it was mean. But they put me on immediately after Britney, so I had to do jokes. Everyone else laughed, but Britney wasn’t ready to laugh at herself.”
