Tory Leader David Cameron Slams Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s Election Decision

David Cameron has said that Gordon Brown hasn’t been straight with the British people by refusing to call General Election in the next few weeks. Cameron is said to have been disappointed “”because it will now be two years before we get the changes we need”.
Mr Cameron went on to say, “ever since he (Brown) walked into Downing Street, I said he should call an election”.
The Tory leader admitted that if Brown had called an election it would have been tough but her was sure the Tories could, and would, have done well. “We had momentum, good ideas and a united team.” David Cameron added.
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, who would have lost her seat according to one of the three polls published today that put the Tories in front, spoke today on Adam Boulton’s programme and defended the actions of the Prime Minister.
“My experience of the last three months is that when he has to make tough decisions he has invariably made them in a way that has been right for the country,”
