Prince William Is Furious At The Threatening Paparazzi

Prince William has hit out at paparazzi after he and Kate Middleton were “aggressively” pursued in their car just days after the inquest into the death of his mother began. The second in line to the throne voiced his concerns that the photographer’s behaviour was ‘threatening’.

William and Kate, who have got back together after a split earlier this year, were leaving London’s trendy Boujis nightclub in the early hours of Friday morning when the paparazzi began to pursue them.

Spokesman Paddy Harverson has said,

“Prince William was concerned by the threatening behaviour of the paparazzi in London last night,”

“Having already been photographed leaving the club, he and Kate Middleton were then pursued in his car by photographers on motorcycles, in vehicles and on foot.
“The aggressive pursuit was potentially dangerous and worrying for them.
“It seems incomprehensible, particularly at this time, that this behaviour is still going on.”

The incident took plays just days after the start of the inquest into the death of William’s mother Diana, Princess of Wales, whose car crashed in Paris in 1997 after being chased by paparazzi.

It has been reported that the matter has been raised with the Press Complaints Commission who have said in a statement,

“While freelance photographers are not directly regulated by the Press Complaints Commission, newspaper and magazine editors who are must take care not to publish photographs which are taken as a result of harassment.
“It can of course be difficult for editors to establish the exact circumstances in which a photograph is taken.
“But it is of the utmost importance not to use photographs which have been taken in a manner that may have compromised the safety of individuals, which may include pursuit in vehicles.”

The images the photographers were so eager to get were the first of the couple out on the town since their April split.
