Watch Johnny Depp In The Sweeney Todd Movie Trailer

Wow. Literally that’s all I can say after watching the Sweeney Todd movie trailer. It’s not often a trailer can leave me speechless by dear lord Depp has done it. I’ve been following this film for a while now and was excited about the concept of Johnny Depp as a cockney demon barber and after seeing the trailer the movie can’t come soon enough!

In the film, Johnny Depp plays a character that is completely different to anything I have ever seen him play. The combination of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp always produces something dark and gothic but they’ve excelled themselves this time!

Am I gushing? I think I am!

Seriously… Johnny Depp, cute London accent, Singing and dancing in the street with the occasional frequent murder? Sounds like a great film to me!

Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think!

wow! this looks really good, but is it just me or does Johnny Depp have the exact same voice as he does in Pirates? I always thought he was so good at changing accents! This one sounds exactly like Jack Sparrow

Good Lord…. Depp can sing, and well too.
Depp visibly digged himself very deeply into that role.

Mr. Burton does it again. Amazing art. Christmas will be so special this year! I love the story. The cast, what’s not to love: Depp’s Todd is the essence of vengence, Carter’s Mrs. Lovett is darkly luscious, Rickman’s Judge Turpin is pure evil. Everyone who worked on this film did an excellent job. A difficult one at that, bringing such an intense opera to film.
And who didn’t already know Johnny could sing? He started out as a professional musician/singer… quite a good one, too.
And the accent? Please… He does not sound exactly like Sparrow. No one compared the ‘London’ accent he did in “Pirates” with “From Hell.” Agreed, it’s a Brit London accent, but distinctly different in timber and character. Sparrow was never so dark.
A new character from Depp to cherish. I already do.

I love Johnny Depp, and Tim Burton. They use good teamwork to bring movies like this together. I can’t wait to see this.
