Marion Jones admits to using steroids two before 2000 Olympics Games

In a letter to friends and family a triple gold medalist in the 2000 Olympics Games admits to using steroids just two years before going to Sydney. In the letter Jones said that she had been taking The Clear since the beginning of 1999, and that her former coach Trevor Graham was the one giving her the drug.

For those of you who do not know what The Clear is, it is a performance-enhancing drug, the substance is linked to BALCO.

Marion Jones always maintained that she never took know performance-enhancing drugs, sprinter Jones will appear in court and will plead guilty to the charges of connection with her steroid use.

In the letter that she wrote to friends and family it also says that she is faced up to 6 months in jail, and that she will be sentenced in three months.

    Despite her use of steroids, she should not be stripped of her medals. However, she should be banned from competition. Afterall, steroids or not, it took her hardwork to win the medal. You can go watch her races. Steroids or not, the amount of training put in is still phenomenal and she should keep the medal.

    Despite her hard work in trainning, she is a lier and a fraud. How about the hard work and trainning that her Olympic competetors went through only to be robbed by this fraud… what a disgrace… I guess winning was everything to her, even if it meant cheating.. those medals are worthless now.
