Brett Ratner Replaces Len Wiseman On Escape From New York

A rumour has popped up on most movie sites on the internet and to be honest I’m not very pleased. The rumour is: Brett Ratner might be replacing Len Wiseman to direct New Line’s big screen remake of Escape From New York. Now, there’s not denying Len Wiseman can direct a good action movie and has a great sense of production design. Brett Ratner on the other hand… Rush Hour 3! Urgh!

IESB is currently confirming the story as fact, which breaks my heart. My dislike of Brett Ratner’s work is not unjustified - even star of Rush Hour 3 Jackie Chan was disappointed with the third movie!! Len Wiseman would have done Escape From New York and done it good… I dread to think what Brett Ratner will do to this movie!
