Apple promises fix to iMac bugs: recent software update problem

Apple has been quoted as saying “a small number of iMac users have made us aware that a recent software update can sometimes cause their iMacs to freeze, requiring them to restart.”
The iMacs in question then need a hard reset in order to recover from the freeze, obviously this did update a few iMac owners.
Now that Apple has admitted the problem, it looks like they are now tracking down the root cause of the bug.
Apple had reported that they should have a cure to this problem later this month with another software update.
