Volkswagen Touareg R50 vs. Porsche Cayenne: The SUV battle begins

We know that when it comes to SUV’s the Porsche Cayenne is one of the best on the market, and Volkswagen know this which is why their new Touareg R50 SUV is aimed solely to de-thrown the Cayenne. Volkswagen claims that the new R50 will be one of the most powerful SUV’s on the market.

The Volkswagen Touareg R50 will produce 313 HP from its V10 TDI engine. The wheels on the R50 will be upgraded and new tires will be added to handle that extra power. The Volkswagen R50 will also receive new suspension and some restyling to its aero package.

Whether or not it will be enough to compete with the Porsche Cayenne we do not know; only time will tell I guess.
