Stand Corrected on Muiltiplayer: Xbox 360’s Halo 3 better than Sony PS3’s Warhawk

When I started playing Warhawk on my Sony PS3 I was taken back by how good it is and how large the maps were, yes its still amazing and I love being able to fly high and drop fast towards the ants (other players)…simply amazing.
Then I got Halo 3 on my Xbox 360 and as I voiced before, my first thoughts were “amazing graphics but hate the tiny maps in comparison to Warhawk’s”.
Since I have been playing Halo 3 a lot more I have now come to understand that bigger muiltiplayer maps does not make a better game, in fact the gaming options and many different types of games and customizing in Halo 3 sets it apart from Warhawk.
Yes I still love Warhawk and play it often, but I have now come to learn how much fun it is to go into a private chat and then team up with my mate while we play Halo 3 team games (this you could never do on the Sony PS3 as the chat software is very limited).
Warhawk has its benefits, but I do stand corrected thinking it was a better muiltiplayer game.
For me now Halo 3 is way better, but still I am glad I own both the Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3.

That is your whole problem! you are too fast as a ps3 fanboy to realize that the games on the 360 are totally better! it probably will continue this path untill newer systems are available. the ps3 is a far superior machine, and yes the 360 tanks alot, but you need to understand- the processor does not dictate how fast and how the game will look, it is all up to the developers for all of it!! I had a ps3 for 6 months and decided to trade it for the 360 halo edition(wich by the way has the 65nm chip-whoot)and i will never look back as i am now enjoying the console!! its all about the games man! I am glad to have just one of them- the 360!!
What the hell?!!? You can chat on Warhawk the freaking game comes with a “wireless bluetooth headset” unlike the microsoft wired one. Warhawk is much better because i have played both and i find that Halo 3 lags a lot even with a high speed connection. Plus, i dont have to pay to play Warhawk online. I have been put off of 360 because everything about it is obsolete and unreliable. I cannot believe microsoft put every resource into one game. There are heaps of shooters better than Halo. Half Life 2, Gears of War, Unreal Tourmoment 3, Resistance: Fall of man, Bioshock, HAZE, FEAR just to name a few

I dont know about you but I like Chocolate way better than Vanilla! What a joke this artical is. Both are great game neither is better than the other. As i appreciate Daniels opinions please make a better comparison if you are going to take time to publish your opinion.

Halo 3 also does not have as many problems as Warhawk with glitching, stats/rank issues, TK’ing, etc. right out of the gate. You’ll probably have to wait a few more months before a patch is released for the game, but will it matter by then? Let alone whenever they get around to making and releasing new maps. Sony dropped the ball with Warhawk. Its a fun game when you aren’t facing the many above problems, but should have stayed in development longer as the backlash is worse than anything else.
Whatevs, I will take my 16 vs 16 over your tiny map 8 vs 8 any day of the week. Besides Halo is SLOW.
I’d take a game that has fewer problems vs one that shouldn’t have come out of beta.
Out of curiosity, what Xbox 360 games are having as many glitching, stat/ranking, etc problems as Warhawk?

All of them, the ps3 does run so much smoother than the 360, all games on the 360 hickup!! thats typical pc!

I told you before that in the Forge mode your player can run faster then any Game I have ever played. Jump high (not as high as crackdown), spawn weapons, vechicles or what ever the game has to offer. Once you play the Forge mode you’ll shut up about it being slow.

with the exception of Resistance(mediocre) and Haze(will be ported but not out on the PS3 for you to yet compare) the rest are already on the 360
.
as far as halo 3 being slow, you can crank the character speed up before entering any map. since you are pretty much stuck with the game types that they give you in warhawk, it’ll get tiresome soon enough. Halo 3 on the otherhand has a seemingly infinite amount of user created gametypes. some good, some great, some bad, some really bad. but halo 3 is the only game that offers that kind of customization.
I don’t know what kind of online your playing on but I only have a 3mb broadband connection and halo 3 runs very smoothly on my 360. Also he said that you can meet up and chat with people before going into a multiplayer match. you can’t do that on the PSN. Paying $60/yearly ($5 dollars a month) is hardly worth playing on a premium online service. I like many other people would like it to be free but I’m not really hurt by the 60 dollars a year subscription fee. especially since there is a ton of free content to download. and it downloads pretty fast also.
Halo 3 is the best multiplayer game ever. Period. Watching the replays in slo-mo is so addictive! Also, using forge to create hillarious scenarios such as flying tanks and Super Dave esque stunt tracks is also a crazy addition to the last installment- clearly MS has stolen the user generated content thunder from sony. That’s gotta hurt!

IGN rated the game 9.1 which would be a higher rated game than halo 3 if it was just another game. Yeah ps3 and 360 shares alot of this years titles like UT3, (UT unfortunately *sighs*) Fear and half life too. But what does microsoft have next year? hmmm…sony? MGS4, Resistance rise of man, Motorstorm 2, Killzone 2, little big planet, uncharted drakes fortune, ratchet and clank, Jak and daxter and that just names games i remember…
Had 2 sony fanboys at my apartment they played halo3 for one hour and they were blown away, they never went online with it which is the best part. They play resistence and warhawk. I didn’t care for halo2 online but halo3 is the best video game ever made. Any game that can keep me away from bf2 modern combat is a feat in it self. I will crush anybody on the planet at twisted metal2. peace

Gears of War is chock full of Glitches. The Ranking issues are going away, I haven’t had an issue with it since the 1st - 2nd week of release.
I agree with Jeff about Resistance 31 levels of gameplay with a great storyline. Probably one of the better ones for an FPS. Resistance 2 will feature texture streaming (the technology that Gears of War uses), the disc will actually have enough room for more then 6-7 levels of gamplay.
Halo 3 being the best Multiplayer game ever is a complete overstatement and shows your mindless devotion to the MS marketing machine.
Charles — So MS made a special Mode for Halo 3 so you didn’t have to crawl? How nice of them. Too bad they couldn’t work it out for the rest of the game.

Booger, do the warhawk servers have over a million people on them daily? Halo 3 does. Does warhawk have about 20 different multiplayer game types? Halo 3 does. Does warhawk support user created content? Halo 3 does. Does warhawk have a main story that is 4 player coop enabled? Halo 3 does. Sounds to me at least that warhawk could have been great but like every thing else on the PS3 it just didn’t live up to the hype. It’s funny that all the big name 360 games get great scores and are freaking awesome. To bad PS3 “AAA”lol games are either short as hell with no multiplayer or all multiplayer and no story. I thought Bluegay was going to be useful for games to bad all they do is make the games region free instead so even though you probably speak one language the disk is full of about 10. Oh and RFOM is COD2 with aliens those character models look like they came from an original xbox shooter.
Dan, first of all halo does not include user created content, its user “EDITED” content. Also warhawk is muliplayer only so there is no reason to compare halo 3 to warhawk as far as story goes, plus halo’s story sucked and i’m hearing that even from halo fans. And also resistance had a damn good story for the ps3, it wasn’t short nor long, and the multi-player online for that game freakin rocked. Did xbox have that kind of option for a game? NO! lol. And also the aliens in resistance are the first of their kind, besides, sony devs. didn’t make that game, insomniac games did.
This whole article plus it’s predecessor was a set up to make Halo3 look better than it actually is don’t believe this garbage ., you’ll get more play out of Warhawk and for half the price considering you already have a ps3. If you are stuck with 360 then Halo3 is worth it for you
Halo is the same small battle over and over with 7 or 8 bad guys with different backrounds and it’s over. Environments are not destructable at all and your weapons dont leave a mark in anything…………. Halo looks dead compaired to WARHAWK……. I get bored with Halo 3 and I get worn out playing Warhawk with all the adrenaline rush.
LMFAO!!! wow like said above how can you say that the chat is limited on the ps3? it comes with a free headset…you obviuslly dont play warhawk that often :/ u have such small maps on halo3 it’s not even fun and it gets boring fast warhawk has like 20 mile maps(I am exagerating) for a complete whole gaming experience….u need to get off the bandwagon and face the facts like a man/woman (i have a 360 also and i like ps3 alot more)
What a joke! Its 2008 and people are still debating LIVE vs the PS Network?? The verdict is in people! PSN is a baby developing in the womb while LIVE is 5 years out and just starting to really grow some balls!
If graphics mattered as much as $ony would have you believe then the XBOX or Dreamcast should have destroyed PS2. Fact is that it’s ONLINE that people want b/c re-playability is exponentially increased with on-line play. Too bad $ony missed the boat and wasted thei development dollars on Blu-ray instead on an on-line infrastructure…
