Ryanair founder Tony Ryan dies
Tony Ryan, the founder of Ryanair has died today at the age of 71, the pioneer finally lost the battle to a long illness that is undisclosed. Tony’s family said that he passed away in one of his homes in County Kildare. Tony Ryan started his airline back in 1985 with only one plane, which is a bit different from today as Ryanair now employs 4,800 people and fly to 557 routes in 26 countries.

Michael O’Leary Chief Executive of Ryanair has said that Tony has left an astonishing legacy, and that it has been a privilege to work for him. Tony Ryan has died with an estimated fortune of $1.1 billion; he is survived by three sons.
