Nokia wants Navteq the navigation software maker

The cell phone giant Nokia is thought to be in deep discussion with Navteq the navigation software maker, as they would like to buy the company. The discussion have now been going on for the past few weeks, the two companies already have a good working relationship as Navteq already provide Nokia with GPS capabilities on some of their cell phones.

If the buyout was to go ahead it would be the biggest acquisition that Nokia has ever made, when you think that Navteq has a market capitalization of $7.61 billion. We all know that Nokia has made most of their money from selling handsets all around the world, but the cell phone giant is now looking to move into the software and services market.
