In the months between April and September we could see that the Nintendo Wii outsold the Sony PS3 by more than four to one in Japan, this came from a report from magazine publisher Enterbrain. In the space of those 26 weeks Nintendo sold 1.6 million of their Wii games consoles, while Sony only managed to sell just 385,492 units of their Playstation 3.
The PS3 has started to increase their sales lately though, the slow start was caused by the high price and also the lack of good game titles, but with recent price reductions and some great new titles due out soon it could be a great holiday period for Sony.

I am really not surprised at all that it is out selling in Japan. The Wii is crazy over there.
And it will keep getting better for Nintendo, especially since X’mas is fast approaching and the system is still OOS everywhere!
