Tickets to the highly anticipated Spice Girls reunion tour have gone on sale today and tickets for one of their London shows sold out in 38 seconds! Lines for the December 15 concert at the O2 arena opened at 10am and according to 19 Management, the tickets were gone before you could name all five Spice Girls!
Around 1 million people in the UK registered for the show. Those who successfully registered for the concert were sent an email or text message last night saying they could snap up their tickets this morning.
There have been two more London dates added for December 16 and 18. The additional dates form part of the group’s reunion tour, which starts in Vancouver on December 2.
Sky entertainment correspondent Matt Smith said the pressure will be on the Spice Girls to produce a high-quality show.
“There’s so much expectation on this gig. It’s got to be good because the talons will be out. The tabloids will want to write the headlines old spice and so on.”
