The Film Was Too Americanised

It seems I’m not the only one who disliked the Rush Hour series! Star of the films Jackie Chan has recently criticised the series in a blog post. He claims he took part in the films as an experiment with the mass market.

Jackie Chan wrote.

“When we finished filming, I felt very disappointed because it was a movie I didn’t appreciate and I did not like the action scenes involved.

I felt the style of action was too Americanised and I didn’t understand the American humour.”

So why continue with the series? Well he claims he made the sequel for the money and the threequel for the fan - Oops sorry fans!

Talking about Rush Hour 3, Chan said,

“Nothing particularly exciting stood out that made this movie special for me… I spent four months making this film and I still don’t fully understand the humour.’”

Are you a fan of the Rush Hour series?
