Daniel Radcliffe, star of Harry Potter, has said he would be delighted to play super-spy James Bond, though he admits he is too short for the role. Radcliffe recently beat 007 Daniel Craig to win the best male award at the National Movie Awards last week so surely he’d be a popular choice?
5ft 7ins Radcliffe, speaking after the ceremony, joked he was too small to play Bond, but he would be interested in the future,
“It takes a big man to turn down the role of Bond. But I’m not sure the world’s ready for a short-arse Bond. Maybe in the future, but the problem is I would still be a short-arse.”
Daniel Radcliffe also revealed he would not shy away from gay roles in the future, as long as the role was good
I am open to suggestions. If it was a good gay role then of course I would do it.”
He even joked that co-star Rupert Grint could be his Bond Girl,
“I would love to be the first gay James Bond and Rupert to be my first leading lady.”

I think Danile Radcliff is a brilliant and wounderful actor, but I’m not sure that he’s ready to play a roll like James Bond yet. Though I am a big fan of Daniel’s. Good luck to him, though he has said he’s not interested in playing Bond yet.

I think some people took this out of context. There making it sound like he is gay, but really I think he is just saying he could play a gay man if needed. Some actors have done it, but still are straight as an arrow. Like Heath Ledger, RIP, who was in Brokeback Mountain. He wasn’t gay but could play a gay role. (Also nothing against gay people, just saying in context)
Gay James Bond? No way. Sorry, but if they did do a gay James Bond it would ruin James Bond. He is a womanizer for a reason and that is what made him funny sometimes.

The edition of a bisexual Bond would be fantastic for both the gay and straight community. The thing about Bond is that he is a name- Bond is the name of the spy, but there have been different people assigned that code name. So if the next bond was a woman or bi or gay etc then it is easily done. I think for a movieline to do something so risky as take a blonde bond, taking bisexual or even gay bond would be revolutionary for the LGBT Community.
I hope it happens.
