Consoles Finally Get 65nm Chips

There has been months of speculation and rumours but finally, after a hardware revision, a couple of limited editions and even a new SKU, Microsoft is finally shipping ‘Falcon’-equipped Xbox 360s with 65nm CPU’s.

Hot off the press, well the official Xbox forums, Halo edition 360’s from lot number 734 appear to be the first of the machines with the new chips. Wondering if your Xbox is one of the latest and greatest? Use the time-honoured method of peeking inside the case with a flashlight and you should be able to confirm if your Xbox 360 holds a 65nm CPU.
