Last night Six Brits won £7million each in the £88million EuroMillions draw.
There were 14 big winners across Europe after no one matched all seven numbers to grab the fortune outright.
It was the biggest number of millionaires ever created at one time by the Euro jackpot.
A Lottery source said: “It has been an amazing night for British lottery players. Sales for last night’s draw went through the roof and the punters have been rewarded with this massive multi-payout.” Numbers drawn were 22, 30, 34, 35, 44 and Lucky Stars 4 and 5. In total, Brits won a whopping £41,936,204.40 — almost half the total prize fund. Each collected £6,989,367 . . . and 40 pence.
The biggest-ever EuroMillions winner was Dolores McNamara — an Irish mum of six who scooped £77million in Limerick in July 2005.
In February 2006, two winners from France and one from Portugal shared a £126million jackpot.
The UK’s first EuroMillions jackpot winner was Marion Richardson, from Gateshead who collected £16.7million in April 2004.
Winning numbers in last night’s Lotto Daily Play were 8, 11, 14, 16, 19, 21 and 27.
