On Monday Sling Media was sold to EchoStar for $380 million, now just a few days later they are talking about a new amazing product called the Slingbox Solo.
The new model features a shiny black new look, comes in the recognizable trapezoid form, is HD-compatible and has component video input and output for high-definition while for standard-definition connections the Slingbox Solo features S-video inputs and outputs.
With Sling Media being part of a high-profile satellite and DVR company (EchoStar), I would imagine their Place-shifting technology will get a lot more visibility and known by many more users over the coming year.
The Slingbox Solo apparently has a price and features that fit between the high-end Slingbox Pro and low-end Slingbox A/V.
As far as we are aware the Slingbox Solo is now available in the U.S., Netherlands, United Kingdom and Canada.
