By: Kerry | September 28, 2007
A jet passenger who fought with the cabin crew at 33,000ft has been jailed for 12 months because of a row over smoking.
Stephen Robinson who is 53 years old is said to have attacked an air steward on a packed Boeing 757 from Antalya in Turkey to Newcastle airport.
Because of row the plane had to be diverted to Frankfurt in Germany.
The judge at Newcastle Crown Court said that “You terrified the people who were about you and you made the life of the aircraft crew very difficult.”
What do you think?
Smoking has been banded for sometime now on the air lines so he must have known!
