911 ‘Victim’ Kicked Out Of Survivor Group After Doubts Over Her Story

A ‘victim’ of the September 11 terror attacks has been dismissed from a survivors group after doubts about her story grew. Tania Head had claimed she was badly burned on the 78th floor of the south tower. She said she was saved by a man who died trying to help her. She later said a dying man gave her his wedding ring which she then returned to his widow. It is reported that her husband also died in the north tower.

So, why is her story being looked upon as doubtful by the group? Well, according to the New York Times, none of Ms Head’s claims had been verified and said Merrill Lynch & Company, where Ms Head claimed she was an employee of, have no record of her employment.

Jennifer Adams, the Tribute Centre’s CEO, said: “At this time, we are unable to confirm the veracity of Tania Head’s connection to the events of September 11.”

The board of the non-profit survivors’ organisation has now removed her as president and director. The group’s website posted a statement which read,

“Tania Head is no longer associated with the World Trade Centre Survivors’ Network. Our organisation was created so that those affected by the terrorist attacks could help each other through crisis and its aftermath.”

Ms Head has also been stopped from leading tours of the World Trade Centre site, where she had previously shown around former NYC Mayor and Republican presidential candidate Rudolph Giuliani.

Ms Head has been reported saying she had not done anything illegal and had not filed any claim with the federal Victim Compensation Fund.

What do you make of Ms Head’s allegations? Do you think she is telling the truth and if not, why would she lie about such a thing?
