warhawk vs halo 3
After seeing the post from Daniel Multiplayer Maps: Halo 3 on Xbox 360 vs. Warhawk on Sony PS3 prompt me to argue this point, how the hell can you choose which one is better when they are totally different platforms, like many of you fanboys it seems that there will always be a war if you like it not which to me is pretty pathetic.

Just to put my oar in, I really do think Halo 3 is the nuts and have played Warhawk and also say that is a great game but how far do we go to get all the best games, should we go out and buy every single console in bloody existents, do not think so not at their prices any way.
Please explain to me the differences between Halo 3 on the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Warhawk on the Sony PS3 I would love to know, oh and please do not slag of other consoles there is no need.

  1. halosucks says:

Warhawk is a downloadable game and has 2x more players and 2x bigger maps + Warhalk has dedidcated servers with FREE online, halo is laggy and you have to pay to play.

  2. Kenneth says:

Is WarHawk worth buying a 599$ machine for(PS3)? **If not, i guess ima have to suffer horribly and continue to not have fun playing Halo 3 MP on my Xbox Live**

    **Insert Sarcasm

Anyway, why are we comparing these two titles anyway? this whole thread is pointless. Fanboys can spin anything though.

  3. Mak says:

Warhawk gameplay is more diverse, and more fun, simple as that. The graphics in Warhak, whilst not consoel defining, as good, but the gameplay is what makes Warhawk.

Halo feels like a tired rehash.

I don’t think “Gina” is being stupid. I think she was poking fun at warhawks lack of a solo campaign. Get it. Halo 3’s solo campaign is aprox 8-12 hours long. she was basically stating that there is no single player campaign in warhawk. kind of makes you all seem stupid for having not cought that.

  5. T says:

uuuh, hello fanboys?? - I think you’ll find gina was being sarcastic. Halo 3’s story is (when played by wusses on normal rather than heroic or legendary - the way it should be played) 8-12 hours long, so you do the math. People you stupid shouldn’t be allowed to voice your opinions and devalue what the clued up PS3 supporters are saying (although they’ve not go much to shout about at the mo).

btw GroverFD - £40 for an entire year isnt cheap? Would you really rather have ludicrously substandard online gaming with zero community for a system which has no good games anyway that you paid through the ar$e for? Maybe cos you shelled out your life’s savings for a PS3 that £3.33 a month is seemingly beyond your budget

….and (if it wasnt blatantly obvious anyway) according to metacritic, I think you will find Halo 3 wins hands down:

Yours, looking forward to a good PS3 fanboy flaming

Never played Halo 3 with the fan base it has I’m sure its a good game, but I can’t imagen how much better it would be with out having the game play options you have in warhawk, I mean being able to lure your enemy to flying low into the terrain and having your teamate hidden, waiting for him to fly by on the ground and blast him out of the sky is PRICELESS!!!

  7. Fuzz says:

To all who didn’t get it, GINA WAS KIDDING. SHE KNOWS WARHAWK DOESN’T HAVE A CAMPAIGN (OR STORY). THAT’S WHY H3′S CAMPAIGN (WHICH IS COINCIDENTALLY 8-12 HOURS LONG) IS 8-12 HOURS LONGER! (LONGER THAN ZERO!!!!!) Jeebus you guys are dumb as a bag of hammers.

  8. mat says:

you guys are STUPID! gina was trying a little something called “sarcasm” i think, im sure youve probably heard of it somewhere.

Warhawk is a great game, its fluid, graphically fine, and is a hell of a lot of fun to play. While it is true that less people on Warhawk have voice chat, why would you want to listen to someone tennager calling you an idiot for killing him for hours.

Honestly, Halo 3 is a fun game but it is, as many people have said, halo 2 in hd. There isnt anything new being brought into the FPS genre by Halo 3, and i just dont understand te hype…

  9. Bleh says:

Gina was making a joke about there not being a Single player mode on Warhawk you dumb asses……….

The only likeness between halo 3 and UT is the fact that they are both first person shooters. the action in both are very different. If I’m not mistaking wasn’t halo 1 out just a couple of years after the first UT. The only real comparisons for Halo 3 and UT would have to be at the very least UT2004 which no matter how you look at it has very similar vehicles to halo 1 which was years ahead of UT2004. In fact I believe their is an interview with Cliffy B (my personal hero) stating that they drew inspiration for the vehicles in UT2004 from halo, I think the interview was on IGN could be wrong though.

Halo may be over-rated but it is still vastly better story and gameplay wise that warhawk. though I do own warhawk I don’t really play it for the simple fact that I find it boring. I was hoping for something truly amazing and all I got was Sixaxis controls; I don’t like sixaxis controls.

As far as halo being a UT rip-off, if you were born before 1995 maybe you would have played doom or how about marathon,I don’t know if you are old enough to remember marathon but it came out way before UT and yet it was made by Bungie.

If we have learned anything by now it’s that failure rate doesn’t really mean anything. the original PS2 had a much higher failure rate than the 360 does and sony even admitted they knew about the problem but refused to do anything but wait for years and then release a smaller less capable machine, all the while charging $75 USD plush shipping to repair the old broken console. I don’t really enjoy console gaming which is why I bought a screaming laptop. Though I do collect video games and their respective console, I am not biased toward any but the original NES entertainment system, I have nearly every US game for that thing. and no they are not roms.
