Suspect Arrested

Last week we reported on the nail bomb attack outside a primary school in Liverpool. It has now been reported that a man has been arrested in conjunction with the attack. Police have described the nail bomb, which went off minutes before the children finished school as an ‘improvised firework-type device’.

The vehicle the bomb was attached to was a Nissan Micra and belonged to a female teacher. It was parked around 30ft from the windows of the £4,500-a-year public school but fortunately no one was hurt.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman has revealed

“A 21-year-old man from Huyton, Merseyside, has been arrested on suspicion of causing an explosion.”

The spokeswoman went on to say that the man was currently being questioned at Merseyside police station,
