David Beckham Rushes To His Seriously Ill Father’s Side

David Beckham is flying home from the United States to be with his father, who is seriously ill in hospital. Ted Beckham, who is in his late 50s, has suffered a heart attack. Ted was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital, in Leytonstone, east London, and then transferred to the Royal London Hospital.

A spokesman for David Beckham said that “His father has had a heart attack and is currently being treated in hospital. David is flying back to be with him. Victoria is in Japan working but obviously she has been informed of it and she is concerned.”

David is expected to arrive at Heathrow before lunchtime today.

Mr Beckham’s first name is also David but he is known as Ted short for Edward, his middle name.

Ted Beckham is divorced from David’s mother, Sandra.
