Two Men Charged Over The Murder Of Boxer James Oyebola

Two men have been charged with the murder of heavyweight boxer James Oyebola. The boxer died after being shot as close range in the head and leg. The accused, Rene McKoy, 19, and Kanyanta Mulenga 22, will appear at West London Magistrates’ court tomorrow.
The attack on Mr Oyebola, 47, took place at the Chateau 6 club in Fulham Road, opposite Fulham Broadway Tube station on July 23rd. It has been reported that the 6ft 9 in sportsman has stepped in to help staff after they asked a group of men to put out their cigarettes.
James Oyebola was taken to New Charing Cross Hospital, where sadly he died four days later. Since his death, the Oyebola family have said they will establish a charity foundation in his name aimed at helping young people towards a better future.
Police has said that McKoy was arrested on July 27 and Mulenga on July 31. Both men were released on bail.
