T-Mobile Sidekick LX And SideKick Slide On Sale Next Month

Back in June, we posted mock-up pictures of what was reported to be the Sidekick Slide and Sidekick. Well now, after months of rumours and speculation, T-Mobile and Danger have officially revealed the Sidekick LX and Sidekick slide today targeting decidedly different segments of the market.
The new Sidekick LX takes over as the new king of cool, boasting a Sidekick-first wide QVGA display along with configurable mood lighting, 1.3 mega pixel camera with flash and 128MB worth of bundled microSD memory.
The 4.6 x 2.4 x 0.68-inch Sidekick Slide becomes the first Hiptop device to come from Motorola, the first to ditch the trademark swivel display and the first to slim down while still keeping the same functionality and 1.3 mega pixel camera as it’s larger predecessor.
The Sidekick LX hits stores on October 24 and is available in a choice of “midnight blue” and “espresso brown” for $299 on contract; the Slide follows two weeks later on November 7 in a black / deep purple for $199.
