Pets and the cost of their love!

As a pet owner I know that pets are part of the family and your pet will give you unconditional love, but caring for them can be a big expense.

Its worth looking into different polices and get the best value for money, some policies allow you to claim for an illness once, but you may not be able to claim for that particular aliment in the future.

Also as your beloved pet becomes older the cost of a policy also increases too!!

To claim you normally request a form and the ask you vet to complete it, then the payment is made directly to you vet.

Routine care of your pet such as vaccinations, worming etc is not covered by the policies and for your average dog this could cost you around £400.00 per year.

You may also wish to take your pet abroad so it is worth checking whether your pets health insurance covers you whiles you are abroad.
