Not sci-fi but Cy.Fi speaker: Wicked wireless iPod dock system for bikes

It uses a system known as Kleer Audio transmission that is rumoured to be 10 times more energy efficient than Bluetooth, the size of the speaker is about the same size as a pack of playing cards that you can put on your handlebars of your bike, the stereo sound is spread to the right and left.

This is pretty cool because that means you do not need to wear headphones of which is a great safety aspect of which also means you can listen to hazards around you like you know that big fat ass car behind you trying to knock you down.
The Cy.Fi’s transmission is apparently and claimed by the company 100% lossless, that is sent from your iPod which will be in your pocket out of the way, this device also lets you control the volume and even skip tracks right from the speaker itself.

Should be available sometime in 2008 with a price tag of $149.
