Helen Mirren, Robin Wright Penn And Rachel McAdams Sign up To State Of Play

Dame Helen Mirren, Robin Wright Penn and Rachel McAdams are currently in negotiations to join Hollywood hunks Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in the big screen adaptation of the BBC miniseries ‘State of Play’.

State of Play follows the story of a congressmen (played by Norton) and his former campaign manager-turned journalist (Pitt) who find themselves on opposite sides after the politicians research assistant and mistress ends up dead.

In the film Rachel McAdams will play the youngest reporter at Washington Globe, who finds herself caught up in a murder conspiracy. Mirren will play the newspaper’s tough editor and Wright Penn the congressman’s ex-wife.
