Funeral Today for Colin McRae and 5 year old son Johnny

While I write this piece of news I cannot help feel a deep sense of sadness, what a loss of life.

Today will see the funeral of Colin McRae and his five-year-old son Johnny who died in a tragic helicopter crash recently.

It really hits home regularly to me how young both of these lives have been lost, especially as I have been playing the world rally champion Colin McRae’s latest game “Dirt” on the Sony PS3.

The man Colin McRae has made his mark on the world in many ways, but his son was on 5 years old and did not have a chance to do the many things his father did…its so sad.

Friend of Johnny, Graeme Duncan 37 and Six-year-old Ben Porcelli also died in the helicopter crash.

The private funeral of Colin McRae and his son will be at Daldowie Crematorium, in the village of Uddingston, South Lanarkshire today and starts at 2pm.

Lets hope that the families wishes are respected and they do not get crowds of people turning up.

This is a great tragedy and today my thoughts will be with his wife Alison who has lost a son and husband, also my thoughts will be with the daughter Hollie who has lost a brother and dad.
