What Network for Apple iPhone UK: Orange, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile or Three?
September 25, 2007 | Filed under Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

Now as you are well aware the Apple iPhone is coming to the UK supposedly for November 9th with O2 being the main operator, but do you not think we should put a vote on it who we think should be the main operator. Forget all the I have more money than you so I am (O2) going to be the main man because we should have the choice if it is us parting with our hard earned cash.
There are many more networks out there that we would love like Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile or Three but the question is which one would you prefer. To tell you another thing can you see the date above being the date it really comes to us or will it be later than expected.
On a personal not I would prefer the main operator to be Orange as they have many amazing deals and better coverage with no loss of connection whereas on most occasions I have had trouble with T-Mobile but then that is a choice out of our hands.
So please answer this simple question – What Network would you choose for Apple iPhone UK: Orange, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile or Three?

Apple should have chosen more than one supplier.
As a long time Mac Fanatic, Apple, I’m sure, have pissed off many other faithful followers with the choice of O2 as the sole UK Supplier.
My personal choice of supplier would have been Vodafone
I don’t really care who it’s with. It’s not a 3G phone so it can’t be 3. I don’t like Vodafone, but that’s just brand preference I’d be able to overcome if necessary.
O2 have the widest 2G coverage in Britain, at 99%, so I’m glad about that. Who knows if the others would have negotiated the Cloud Wi-Fi deal, as that’s a pretty major bonus? I gather that T-Mobile & Orange have a a better EDGE network, mind you, to support their 3G users in blackspots, so maybe they’d have been cool too.
And, yeah, it’ll be November 9th. I can’t recall a single occasion when Apple actually named a specific date for a product launch, and then missed it.
Honestly, is this what passes for an intelligent article these days?
Apple have a product that requires the use of a network, and is desired by many. Apple can charge a slice of money from any of those network providers to give them exclusive access to the desiring many. Both parties win (although I’d wager apple win more than O2)
Who exactly owes it to you to give you the iPhone on your network of choice?
