The Dark Knight To Leave Gotham And Head To Hong Kong

It has been reported that Warner Bros. has applied for local permits to shoot a part of The Dark Knight in Hong Kong this fall. Christopher Nolan’s follow-up to “Batman Begins” see’s Batman leave Gotham City for the first time in the history of the film franchise to fight evil in another city - or cities - although it’s unknown if the cities will be given a fictional metropolis name.
Warner Bros. is aiming to shoot in Hong Kong for an estimated nine days this November. Warner Bros wouldn’t confirm the reports as the films plot is being kept firmly under wraps.
Hong Kong production services companies have been excited for months with talk of the high profile shoot. It’s reported that Warner Bros. have applied for permits to shoot in Central and Western Hong Kong.
Although there is excitement surrounding the shoot, local politicos have suggested that helicopters and night shooting could cause traffic disruption and noise pollution.
Kwok Ka-ki, a local legislator has said, “We welcome the movie but want to ensure arrangements are hassle free,”
