Suicide car bombing in Basra, Iraq killing 3 people & hurting 20

A police station was targeted in southern Shi’ite city in Basra, Iraq which killed 3 people and hurt 20. The suicide car bomb which left 3 people dead on Tuesday was terrible, normally bombings are rare in the Basra area and attacks normally occur in the centre of Iraq or in the northern areas.

The car bombings are the hallmark of al Qaeda but to see one in Basra is devastating, most of the violence in the city has been mainly directed at the British forces within the region or those involved in fighting among Shi’ite factions vying for influence.
