Homes in Nuneaton in the West Midlands, England have been hit by a freak Tornado. It has been reported that thirty-five homes have been affected and several fire engines have raced to the scene.
The tornado hit the area at 6.20 am and a second, mini tornado has hit homes in Farnborough, Hants. Police have claimed that at least 10 housed have had their roofs ripped off and the fire brigade has said that at least 20 properties have been affected. It is not yet known if there are any casualties.
In the United States, Tornados are quite a usual occurrence, and are usually on a huge scale. Although it’s not unusual for a tornado to hit the UK, it’s certainly not common place. The tornado which hit The West Midlands may only be tiny compared to those which hit America, but it can still cause a lot of damage, especially when people are not used to handling situations such as this.
