Scratched Halo 3 Limited Editions: Microsoft maybe a 3 year warranty

Scratched Halo 3 Limited Editions
We are hearing reports that the Halo 3 Limited Editions are turning up scratched, the guy in the video below claims it’s the cheap plastic they used to hold the disc.

Maybe Microsoft will just throw a three year warranty at gamers again, but jokes aside this is not good news for the Xbox 360 gamers it’s happening to.

We first heard this from a comment on our post about Warhawk vs Halo 3, but after doing some searching we see that it’s happening to many gamers including the guy in the video below.

Some people who have ordered the Halo 3 legendary edition are hoping that’s ok (we have heard no reports about any scratched legendary edition discs).

While some people are joking with comments like “your Xbox 360 would probably scratch that anyway” and “is it just me or is everything about Xbox started to get worse”, I would say this problem would affect a limited amount of discs.

I guess the comments will show how many people this is affecting, but expect it to be limited to a small percentage.

I hope everyone who purchases the Limited Edition Halo 3 checks there copies before leaving the store. Pass this information to all of your friends, so that no one gets stuck with a bad copy.

Its just like MS to try cutting costs on everything they can at our expense. No reason to produce crappy cases for any game.

I purchased the Halo 3 Limited Edition from a retail store this morning only to realize that as I held the case I could hear a disc sliding around inside. After some explaining, the store let me exchange the Limited Edition for a standard Halo 3 copy. They were also looking into whether or not this was the case with all their Limited Edition versions.

    Caveat Emptor.

Does it still work? If it does, then WHO CARES!

If your new car comes all scratched up, but it still runs, then WHO CARES! Boobar, it’s people like you who let these companies bend you over and call you Susan.
