Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Is Blasted By College President

A university chief in the United States has branded Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad “a petty and cruel dictator”. The Iranian president found himself under fire as he took to the stage at New York’s Columbia University to address students and answer questions.
Lee Bollinger, Columbia President, collared him over Iran’s human-rights record and foreign police. He said,
“Mr. President, you exhibit all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator,” which was followed by a huge round of applause.
He went on to say that Mr Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Holocaust may fool the illiterate and ignorant, “(But) when you come to a place like this it makes you simply ridiculous.
The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history.”
Ahmadinejad hit back saying Mr Bollinger’s introduction was ‘an insult to information and the knowledge of the audience here.’
He went on to accuse Mr Bollinger of ‘unfriendly treatment’ and of being influenced by the American media and politicians.
Mr Ahmadinejad had earlier defended his country’s record on human rights claiming its citizens are “very joyous, happy people”.
His visit to the US has caused controversy between US citizens and politicians alike, many believing he has no right to be in the United States.
