Is Britain Getting More Tornadoes? damage to buildings and property

Following on from the breaking news today about the damage Tornadoes have done in towns throughout the Midlands and the South of Britain early this morning.

Is it Safe to say, we are getting many more Tornadoes in the UK these days?

Fair enough, the British Tornadoes are nothing like the ones in the US (like the Tornadoes in the photo caught by CNN below).

I remember as a kid, growing up in the UK hearing about hurricanes, but never Tornadoes.

The most heard of Tornadoes in the UK are the fighter planes, not the weather.

So what’s your opinion, are these forces of nature becoming more frequent in Britain?
