If you’re a gamer you will know how big a deal Halo 3 is, although some do not like the game the fact is it’s a big deal to the game industry.
For people who do not know how big, think of a new Harry Potter book launching or a new Star Wars film, yes really it’s that big to the $30 billion video game industry.
Microsoft Corp has geared up the launch with a marketing blitz that includes celebrities at events to draw more gamers.
The Microsoft Corp rival Sony Corp, sees the Xbox 360 fighting it out with the Sony PS3, with many gamers buying a next-gen console they find it hard to choose which one.
Microsoft feels the acclaimed science-fiction video game “Halo 3” will give them an edge, which I must agree that it should help sell more 360’s.
I will also own Halo 3 for the 360 and currently play a lot of Warhawk on the PS3; it will be interesting when playing both games a lot over the next 2 weeks and then giving you a hands-on comparison…look forward to it.
Remember as I said before, we are talking online gameplay as Warhawk has no single player option.
With GameStop reporting a record for pre-orders of Halo 3 and Halo 2 selling $125 million worth of games in the first 24 hours, FACT Halo 3 will be a good thing for the Xbox 360…but they need that because of the 1 billion dollars Microsoft put by for the Red Ring of Death problem.
