Halo 3
With the wait for Halo 3 been for sometime now, gamers are just days away from getting there hands on one of the most awaited games in along time.

Xbox 360 fans are buzzing right now; also as I have looked around different games sites I see many trying to compare Halo 3 with many other games.

I do not want to do that, but that’s what I will leave up to the gamers.

So you tell everyone, what game do you think compares to Halo 3?

This game can be on any games console, also tell us why you think it is close to Halo 3 or better.

only game to have come close to halo 3 is super smash bros brawl, but the two games are in completely different leagues. both will be great!

pacman..that game will never be beaten!

Asteroids is among my top ten list of games, lol, that might beat it. I reckon Metroid Prime 3 might do the job, since a lot of the people who like Halo like it because of the fuss that’s made over it, not because of the quality of the actual game (which isn’t spectacular - but as soon as the hype starts, everyone decides it is)

This website reeks of anti-Xbox sentiments.

My favourite is Gran Turismo which incidentally sells more copies on average than halo does which kinda makes you wonder what all the fuss is about really.

Warhawk definitely gives Halo 3 a run for its money. To be completely honest, I believe that Warhawk’s online gameplay is better than Halo 3’s, but then again, Warhawk is a multiplayer only game. On the other hand, Halo 3 is the most ridiculously overhyped game in the history of gaming, so it will have a massive install base.

Super Smash Bros. Melee was pretty good, too, but it should have had online play.

Unreal Tournament and Resistance: Fall of Man deserve mentioning as well, especially since Halo 3 stole plenty of their weapons to use and eventually take all the credit.

The Socom U.S. Navy Seals: Fireteam Bravo 1 and 2 games were also really amazing, especially with the online and campaign play. Those two games are better than Halo 3 in a sense that you can pick them up and play them anywhere.

Do you mind suggestions for upcoming games as well?

Call of Duty 4, GTA IV, Unreal Tournament 3, Haze, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Online, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, Mass Effect, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Kayne and Lynch, and Ratchet and Clank will be better than Halo 3.

I have a bad feeling that Halo 3 isn’t going to be as good as the 4 million people ready to buy it by November think it will be. In the end, how can you stop a massive, overhyped, overrated avalanche? Metal Gear Solid 4 should do the trick.

Halo 3 what in God’s Green Earth does this game deserve such high praise? I’ve played Halo 2 and story is interesting enough, gameplay is like any other FPS out there reminds me of Quake arena, Rocket Jump all the way!

so I still don’t know what all the hype is about Halo. Forget FPS and focus more on original games, Prince of persia type, Resident Evil, or God of War, Devil May Cry style of games.
For PETE SAKE NO MORE FPS!!! THere are less than 30% who enjoy FPS we all hate it because it makes us dizzy and nauseous and we cannot play it more than 5 minutes!

I’m not a big fan of Halo, but so many folks are so willing to jump all over it. I played the Beta and enjoyed the heck out of it and its features. I think that Call of Duty 4 has a chance to outdo it in overall quality. GTA IV is the first GTA that I will ever buy, I think and it appears to have the stuff that could beat Halo3. Smash Brothers Brawl probably is the only game on the Wii that can come close in numbers and rabid fanboyism (and other who have no clue as to why it’s supposed to be good - I love it personally). But Nintendo won’t do anything to hype it like Microsoft has done with H3.

Personally, I’ve gone from hype to no hype to pseudo-hype. If the single player rocks, I’m getting it. But right now, I’ve got Metroid Prime 3 to finish, then Bioshock…and I never did finish Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the PS3.

But Halo3 will be the biggest game in history for quite some time - history, quality, features, anticipation and marketing make it so.

Lol, cirej, let’s hope to god that they don’t come up with a Halo 4

They need to focus more on third person shooters, games like Gears of War. Or 3rd person Adventure games.

Man, I am getting sick of seeing that crappy Halo commercial where they have all those clay figures its sickening. Halo Ads at 7 Eleven?? Man makes me want to not go to 7 eleven anymore.

I don’t like getting force fed all these advertisement it does the opposite. Its a complete waste of money, majority of the people that see these Ads have no clue what Halo is nor have any interest in it.

imaballa, you bring up a good point. What kind of impression do you think most people would get when they see Halo drinks, consoles, controllers, headsets, cars, snacks, ads, figurines, posters, costumes, and collectibles? I for one think it’s ridiculous.

I don’t understand what you guy’s problems are!
I’ve had all the Halos, and I cannot wait to get Halo 3. I’ve had some of the best gaming experiences of my life playing Halo 2. And I have had nearly every console imaginable, and a decent PC. I am also a big Nintendo fan too, and the only games that are in the same league as Halo 2 were Super Smash Bros (first one), Goldeneye and a few others. (But they are my personal favourites).
Also, I must add, if you haven’t played Halo 2/3 online, then don’t comment, that’s what it’s all about. It is also a fun social experience, these gaming hours aren’t clocked up for nothing.

I would have played Halo 3 online if the first million or so discs sold weren’t horribly scratched

Well the bottom line is Halo is for little children, like the one on G4TV 4 hour special. Man all those fanboys standing outside Bestbuy were like 14yr old boys.

I went to burger king and I saw the Halo value meal and i turned right around and walked out in disgust just totally destroyed my appetite.
    Halo sucks C*cknBalls.
