England’s most well known Tennis player, if not, sportsman has bid farewell in his last ever match. Described as ‘irreplaceable’ the Tennis player struggled to hold back his tears as he waved goodbye.
Tim Henman wrapped up a great victory over the world number 164 Karanusic, to give Great Britain a 2-0 lead after the first day of their Davis Cup World Group play-off.
“This is a long weekend of tennis and just because I played a good match the job’s not done,” said Henman matter-of-factly.
“After playing for this long in my career, a couple more days isn’t going to be too much to ask.”
“There were a couple of times when I had to bring myself back a little because it is very easy for your mind to wander onto a lot of topics,” Henman admitted.
What do you think of Tim Henman? Will he be missed? Will he be remembered?
