Graphics comparison of Xbox 360’s Halo 3 screenshots & CGI trailer

Today we found a side by side graphics comparison of Xbox 360’s (very very soon) upcoming Halo 3, the video below shows screenshots next to the CGI trailer comparison.
The gamers seem to be eating the guy alive who made the video with comments like “this isn’t a comparison” and “Why compare a game to CGI? Clearly CGI will dominate?”
One thing I will agree with a few people on is the fact that the game holds up quite well in comparison and even at around 39 seconds there is an image of gameplay that compares very well against the CGI Image.
So one thing this video does show is that Halo 3 does look very nice.

why did they even bother making a movie for that? some screenshots placed side by side would have been more effective, and saved me waiting for it to load…

It’s like, duh? Of course a pre-rendered trailer looks better than the game in realtime… Are you fucking retarded?
I’ve played the game already and the graphics were disappointing. The game play on the campaign was alright, but some of the environment seemed kind of dull. Especially the rocks. The lighting must have been the best feature. After playing a game like Heavenly Sword, it’s tough to enjoy the graphics of Halo 3.
